I just want to say keep reading!
I have just finished it and i am desperate for a sequel
It took me 2 tries to get into the book but once you do get into it it's amazing and you can't put it down.

The first, like, 60 pages or so are excruciatingly, painfully slow. But after that it gets better and better, so, in my opinion, The Host is a great book.

I agree, i was trying to get my sister to read it but she was so bored until she got to like page 100. But it's so, so good. I absoluetly love that book. And there's definitely a point when you won't be able to put it down cause it gets that intense.

And also, I have a random question, if anyone can answer it for me:
(SPOILERS)
When they sent the Seeker's soul away to another planet, for example, wouldn't that soul be able to alert other souls about the humans hidden in the cave?
Just wondering, cause I know they still keep their memory even as they change from planet to planet.

This is the first time I've posted in this section, ha.

I've been trying to read this for the past year. I'm on page 98. And it's only because I was bored crapless for weeks that I started reading it before there was nothing else to do.
And I actually have to write at the bottom of the page what is happening. It's just such a bad book. It's so poorly written. And so BORING.

I never even thought about that but you are completely right. Hmm.. i don't know. You'd think that that's what would happen. I guess we'll never know.. unless a second book comes out ofcourse.
